Easy 'Ramming Speed' Achievement Guide
Owning the Rising Tide expansion, the idea to get this achievement is quite simple (standard game assumed): Build a colonist unit, move to the water, found a colony there and wait for it to grow to a city. Move the city to an alien water unit that cannot move (hydro coral for example) and that's it.
Easy 'Shai-Hulud' Achievement Guide
To unlock this achievement with an explorer unit, the technology Alien Domestication has to be discovered in the technology tree (lower half on the right side of the tree). In addition, harmony level 3 has to be reached. Then, to prevent the explorer unit (with a movement ability of two hexagons per turn) from being killed by aliens in the attempt, it is best placed in a city waiting for colossal alien units (such as Kraken, Siege Worm, Makara) to approach and destroy the infrastructure. Then, within a distance of two hexagons and an explorer unit of full energy, the leashing of the colossal alien unit will be successful and the achievement unlock.
Easy 'Fortune and Glory' Achievement Guide
There are six pairwise different Artifact Wonders, each to be built at least once, to unlock this achievement. Every one of them has to be unlocked first, before it can be built. In order to unlock an Artifact Wonder, the player has to combine three artifacts, from which at least one has to be of 'Progenitor' type (independent of the (health) state (1,2,3) of an artifact). Progenitor artifacts are rare compared to Alien Artifacts (obtained for example by plundering an Alien Nest) and compared to the Artifacts of the Old World (obtained by collecting Old Earth Relics for example). The way to obtain a Progenitor artifact is by building an explorer unit and sending it to an old ruin (sea or land position of the ruin doesn't matter) to explore it. For there may be a lot of effects and rewards by exploring such a ruin, the player needs to be a bit lucky to obtain such an artifact, as the description of the achievement says.
Easy 'The Halls of R'lyeh' Achievement Guide
This achievement is gained by completing the six Marvel quests, whom 5 depend on the biome chosen (the other one is the Hydro Coral quest, which depends on the existence of an ocean). Therefore, in order to get it quickly, the player should set up his/her own game 5 times and always choose a different one of the five biomes Lush, Arid, Frigid, Fungal, Primordial and also include an ocean into one game, such that all six quests can be completed within this framework. The completing procedure is always the same: There will be a central object, once discovered, the quest progresses in terms of demanding the exploration of the smaller objects of the same type on the map (number depends on difficulty level, map size and biome chosen). Once all the corresponding objects have been explored, the quest is completed and a bonus given to the corresponding player. Note: Unlike other objects in Beyond Earth, Marvel objects do not dissappear after exploration, such that every attending player is able to earn the corresponding bonus.
Easy 'Fearful Symmetry' Achievement Guide
The Rising Tide Expansion causes problems unlocking this achievement, beacause the player cannot choose Skirmish Map from the setup menu any more. The solution for this problem is not to disable the DLC('s) in the game, but to go to the STEAM game library, select the game Sid Meier's Civilization: Beyond Earth and disable the DLC('s) for Rising Tide Expansion by deselecting the corresponding box(es) within the 'Additional Content' menu. This will uninstall the content, which can be undone anytime, of course, by selecting the boxes again. With this preparation, starting the base game, Skirmish Map will be available and since the setup of a single game always allows to create a configuration (for example Duel, Sputnik difficulty) to win within 200 turns, the achievement is still unlockable and enjoyable as well.
