Riverside Casino Rv Park Laughlin Nevada

This is not even remotely anything that should be called a resort. If you must be in Laughlin, it is ok. If you like the casino scene, it might be for you. It is across a busy street from the river, but the river is nice. We camped at Don Laughlin's Riverside Resort RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

While staying at another casino in Laughlin, we checked out the RV Parking area here. Large level area with about a couple dozen RV's there. Although signs state the limit is 14 days, many RV's had permits allowing them to stay for at least 60 days. The RV dump and water is behind the store. While it was open, there was a temporary fence at the exit to the dump. You would have to back-out after dumping. Although there's plenty of places for free overnight RV parking in Laughlin, this is a good choice as it's quieter and away from the casinos. Not a bad deal for $5 a night. However, Tropicana is also $5 a night and you get to use the dump for free if you pay for a week.

Since we have quite a few Total Rewards points on our Harrah's cards, we usually stay there (free food). It gripes me to pay for a place to park so in the past we told them we were hotel guests (sometimes we actually were). The last time we did this they sent us to the parking lot with the buses and trucks. So this time we decided we would bite the bullet and pay the $5 parking fee. When I checked in they wanted vehicle registration, insurance policy, driver's license, passports, birth certificate, mother's maiden name, marriage license, six forms if ID -- OK, I am exaggerating a little but not much All this just to park in their lot overnight, plus the $5 of course. I looked at Lucky Lucy and said why don't we go to Pioneer where they appreciate our business and give us free dry camping. So we did.

Uncertain about staying due to the lack of reviews, but we decided to give it a try (we had an alternative lined up just in case)
Wow! what a surprise.
First, the dry-camp parking area is huge, and well marked out, and LEVEL, with good lighting and security patrols 24/7.
Then the Casino complex, which has 1300 slots plus table games, race and sports-book a bingo hall, classic car showroom, a 34 lane bowling center, 6 movie theaters, laser tag, and a river boat tour.
There are seven restaurants to choose from - the buffet is excellent, both in selections available and value, try the Sunday Brunch, but be prepared to wait in line for entry.

This is a very nice RV park, with lots of large, roomy spaces. They get very busy in the winter time, so you need to book in advance and request a site specific to your needs. Rates are reasonable. Casino is a short walk across the street. The machines are fairly tight, as they are all through Laughlin. Not like Las Vegas casinos. The poker room is fun, with free entries to a morning tournament earned when you get a full house in a cash game. Plenty of action for hold-em and Omaha. Restaurants are adequate but not great. Very nice sitting overlooking the Colorado river while you dine. Some interesting day-trips, like Hoover dam, ghost towns and the like. Nice place to spend a week or so, more than that, you'd better like sitting around in your lawn chair. We've always found it to be dry and windy (read dusty) especially high up on the RV park hill. Never seems to rain.

Large RV park. Stayed there several times for several days. During one stay split my head open on my slide-out. RV park called casino paramedics for me, who took me to urgent care. After 8 stitches I called the RV park back and they sent van to pick me up and take me back to my rig. I have not won a lot in their casino, but have had fun, for the most part, at Riverside. When they have their great car shows there is no overnite parking in the parking lot. While there take the boat ride on the Colorado River.
