Abstract

Abstract: A simple, compact, slot loaded stacked wideband microstrip patch antenna is presented in this communication. The radiating element consists of a rectangular patch with a T- shaped slot and is fed by a 50 Ω microstrip line. The proposed antenna is simulated using IE3D software, 12.32 version of Zeland. The simulated results show that. Slot‐loaded rectangular microstrip antenna for dual‐frequency operation The slots loaded in the patch are a pair of bent slots centered in the patch and oriented along the resonant direction, with the spacing between the two slots being about half the patch's radiating‐edge length.

Slot Loaded Rectangular Microstrip Patch Antenna
In this paper analysis of double U-slot loaded patch antenna is presented. The parameter of the antenna significantly depends on slot dimensions. Bandwidth of the proposed antenna is found 21.59 %. The 3dB beamwidth of the antenna is found to be 90° for the central frequency of 1.9 GHz. The theoretical results obtained from the analysis are compared with IE3D simulated and experimental results which are in good agreement.
